CHRIS Harris is delighted to announce the

The three-time British Champion and Speedway Grand Prix regular has re-launched

Harris has already announced three locally-based riders to join the team:
16-year-old Kyle Roberts (#137), who already has experience of GP events as
part of the pit-crew, and 11-year-old twins Dan (#237) and Joe Thompson (#337),
who compete in the British Youth Championships and are mascots at Coventry and
Harris said: “We wanted to start completely fresh next year, and I’m really
excited that we’ve now managed to launch the team. It will be all-new branding,
a new logo and a new-look Chris Harris Racing Team #37.
“It’s vitally important that we bring the youngsters along. I’m 100 per cent
dedicated to British Speedway, I want to help the British lads wherever I can,
and that’s the goal of this racing team.
“British Speedway has given me some great opportunities over the years, and I
feel it’s important that I give something back by helping the future of the
“I’ve known Kyle for many years. The big thing is that he’s a lad who wants to
learn. He’s going to come to some GPs if he’s not racing, he’ll be in the
workshop with us, and he’s hungry and wants to do it so I believe he was a good
“Kyle has been to GPs this year, he’s been to league matches, so he knows what
it’s all about, especially how much hard work has to be put in to get to this
level, and starting young and keeping it going from there will give him a
“We’ll also be giving the twins some products, team clothing and track time,
and they will race in Chris Harris Racing Team #37
“They’ll get to spend time in the workshop with me, and at
testing days, they’ll have 100 per cent support from the team regarding their
set-ups, promotion and website, and it’s not going to cost any of the boys any
money to be part of it.”
Riders involved in the team will use identical racing colours and similar
racing numbers, but they will compete on their own choice of equipment, as all
have their own set-up preferences and different styles.
Roberts added: “I’m over the moon with it, it’s really going to help me to
improve and I’m so pleased they’ve chosen me to be a part of the team. I can’t
really believe it’s happened.
“To be taken on by a Grand Prix rider at the age of 16 is just out of this
world and I know I’ve got to work hard, step up and prove I’m worth it for the
Preparations for the 2016 season are already well underway, with Chris Anderson
remaining on board as team manager.
Harris’s fiancée Emma-Louise Hodkinson carries out a major organisational role
with the team whilst Laurence Rogers, a member of the management at Harris’s
Elite League club Coventry, is responsible for work with sponsors and PR.
Harris said: “I’ve got to say a big thank-you to Emma-Louise because without
her help and work none of this would have been possible.
“She’s done everything from designing the logos, colours and websites in a very
short time-frame, to setting up the race-team and helping with which riders to
pick, so this wouldn’t be here without her.”
The Chris Harris Racing Team #37 would like to thank the following sponsors:
Progrip, Rock Oil, Bravo14.co.uk
Chris Prior Graphics and Sprint.
